Even for established artists, any new song they drop is not automatically added to the chart. However, no matter what method is used, the song has to be either streamed a lot or downloaded (bought) a lot. The number one album on iTunes may be different from the top album on Billboard. As such, the number one song on Tidal may be different from the one on Spotify. Every music platform, streaming or otherwise, will have its method of ranking songs either based on streams, downloads, or a combination of both. ![]() When compared to Billboard, the iTunes top 100 charting system is different. While many may assume it’s based on the number of times a song is played, iTunes isn’t a streaming service, so entire songs cannot be played until after a user purchases the song or album. In most cases, iTunes bases the top charts off of the total number of downloads. In 2015, Apple introduced its streaming music streaming service called Apple Music. As of 2017, there were 43 million songs on iTunes, with billions of songs sold. In the first week back in 2003, users bought more than a million songs, and that number has only skyrocketed over the years. iTunes allows users to buy music from the iTunes store. ITunes’ music library section has he tracks, whose attributes (artist name, song title, etc) can be edited by the user. Developed by Apple in 2003, iTunes can be used to buy, download, play, and organize media (songs, video, podcasts, you name it). It is a media player, media library, has internet radio and device management. ITunes is the Swiss Army Knife of media consumption. It is a snowball effect that continues until you get to the highest position you possibly can the song’s peak position. The more people love your song, the higher you go up the charts, and the greater the exposure you get. It is a great way to gain a following and a fanbase and to boost your music career. Since iTunes is such an established platform, a new artist breaking into the Top 100 chart is a strong accomplishment. While this may be seen as negative from an artist’s perspective, it is bliss for the fans who get to discover new hits daily. ![]() A song riding high at the top of the iTunes Top 100 chart on a Sunday may drop all the way to number 5 by the start of the next week. ![]() There is plenty of new music that is released every day. The beauty of the various iTunes music charts is that they change daily depending on the users. With so many artists releasing new music, the iTunes top 100 songs change frequently as shown below. That’s why-despite the popularity of Spotify, the establishment of Tidal and other music streaming services-Apple’s iTunes Top 100 music charts is still a favorite amongst music fans. There’s just something special about owning your favorite track or album. In spite of this, millions of music fans and connoisseurs still want individual copies of their favorite songs. There is no shortage of options when it comes to access to music, with plenty of online options for streaming. There is a platform for everyone, with more and more great artists submitting their work for the world to hear from wherever in the world, both upcoming and established. Simply put, music is everything! It is this ever-evolving art form that is now-more than ever-propelled by technology. ![]()

Well, apparently when you try to restore, iTunes creates a massive folder in AppData\Apple\MobileSync\Backups and basically my SSD was running out of memory to do the sync. When i tried to restore the phone originally yesterday, my computer hard drive had about 60 free gigs on it (i have a smallish SSD on there, and usually when it gets that low from movies/TV shows whatever, I manually move it to a network drive). i actually just figured it out about 30 minutes ago. ![]() (The full version does cost money, so again, full disclosure :) this is software I made that I'm linking to.) Decipher Backup Repair is made to reconstruct/fix incomplete or corrupt backups for restoring in iTunes as best as the situation allows (it depends on how incomplete the backup is.) The free trial of Decipher Backup Browser can help you preview the contents of the incomplete backup, to at least get a sense of what is there (photos, contacts, etc) and if the backup was encrypted. I'm the developer for a couple of programs that deal with broken/incomplete backups. If the backup is not encrypted, but the Manifest.db file is missing, it depends on what you want to recover :) The way the backups are written, it's not easy to piece together all of the third party app data without the Manifest.db. It won't be in any of the multitude of two-letter folders :)) If it is an encrypted backup with missing key data, then there's nothing that can be done. ![]() ![]() (It would either be directly in that folder named by the device ID, or in the "Snapshot" folder inside of there. It depends, unfortunately, on a couple of things: ![]() ![]() “I thought, ‘Franz is the most famous Carinthian and we should do something with him,’” said Kresse. Twice he took the concept to filmmakers and twice it went nowhere. ![]() “I remember, after he won, we all went outside and played like we were Franz Klammer!”īut Kresse, a notable figure in marketing, found it hard to bring his dream to closure. He remembered that day in 1976 as a six-year-old boy, crowded together with his kindergarten classmates watching on a miniature television at school. In his heart, Kresse believed in the story. “Like Muhammad Ali for boxing, Wayne Gretzky for ice hockey or Tiger Woods for golf. “Franz is a testimonial for skiing,” said Kresse. The fear of many was that the remarkable success of the Austrian ski racer would get passed by over the generations.Ĭhristian Kresse, the tourism chief for the state of Carinthia, wanted to change that and to bring Klammer’s story to the screen – a process that began nearly eight years earlier. “And then I knew immediately that ski racing would be my life.” Origin of a filmįor nearly a half-century, the story of the country boy finding gold has begged for the silver screen. But young Franz loved the snow, skiing to school in the winter and climbing up hills on his own to come racing back down. His tiny village of Mooswald, north of Villach, was situated in the mountains but without a ski lift. Instead, he was born in the southernmost Austrian state of Carinthia, a region with lesser-known mountains and a bit outside the ski racing spotlight.
